Zimbabwe versus West Indies 15th match was held at Canberra. In this match West Indies won the toss and they elected to bat first.
Gayle made to rewrite the world cup records by scoring 215 runs from just 147balls.
West Indies Innings
So one of the dangerous batsmen in the world Chris Gayle and
Dewayne Smith open their West Indies innings but unfortunately smith return to
pavilion in second ball itself. After that Gayle has to go for diamond duck by
LBW but god supported Gayle to stand at the crease to score his double ton.
After that Gayle started his storm innings at Canberra. Gayle caught two times
but unfortunately they became as no ball then he started to hit sixes casually.
He made his double ton in just 147 balls. He made 16 sixes and 10 fours.
Another West Indies batsman Marlon Samuels scored his first
ton in world cup by scoring 133 runs from 156balls he got 11fours and 3 sixes.
He made his half century in 96 balls and he made his century in 143 balls. He
played as like ODI but Gayle play as like twenty-twenty.
West Indies scored 220 runs from 40 overs final 10 overs
they got 152 runs.
Zimbabwe innings:
Even though the target is high Zimbabwe batsman’s also
played well especially Williams 79 from 61balls and Ervin52 from 54 balls
played well they were also tried to chase but unfortunately West Indies had to
won the match by 73runs by D/L method. Finally Zimbabwe got all out for 289
runs from 44.3 overs.

Chris Gayle’s Double century in World cup
Garey kristen was the highest individual run scorer in the
world cup that is 188* against UAE in 1996, now Gayle broken Kristen’s record
by hitting double ton in world cup history.
He also shared the
first place with Rohit Sharma and Ab de Villiers by hitting most sixes in an
innings. There was the another big record in this match was highest partnership
in ODI history is broken by Marlon
Samuels and Chris Gayle by giving partnership of 372 runs from 303 balls
including extras. Before this the highest partnership was 331 runs from 272
balls by Rahul Dravid and Sachin Tendulkar against new Zealand in 8 November
1999 at Hyderabad.
This was the day (24th February) the Master
blaster Sachin Tendulkar score first
double century against RSA in 2010.After five years this day(24th
February 2015 )Gayle scored his first double century in world cup.
