Anwar is the 1st UAE batsman to score century in world cup
Summary:
The 16th match of world cup match between Ireland
and UAE held at Brisbane.in this match Ireland won the toss and elected to bowl
first. Therefore Amjad Ali and Andri Berenger started the UAE innings they gave
partnership of 49 runs from 11.3 overs. After that Ireland bowlers attack was
very good and fall of wickets for UAE get started.
Anwar’s century:
But Shaiman Anwar Butt and Amjad Javed gave life to the UAE
innings and build their partnership upto
107 runs from 12.3overs.Finally Javed dismissed by Sorensen for 42runs from
just 35balls(5fours).In between this Anwargot his 1st ODI century
and 1st world cup century. He got 106 runs from just 83 balls (
10fours and 1six). Finally UAE got 278-9 from 50 overs. Last 10overs UAE scored
82runs.Anwar is the 1st UAE batsman to score century in world cup. Paul
Stirling was the Ireland’s best bowler who bowled 10overs and giving only 27
runs for 2wickets

Ireland’s innings:
279 runs is not only a small target in ODI. Even though the
target was big Ireland batsman really played well and batted well. All the
batsmen gave some contribution to the team by scoring average runs of above
35runs.
Poterfield and Joyce of 68runs gave small confident to win
the match. After breaking this partnership Ireland’s batsman got into the
struggle them loss another 3wickets for25 runs.
But Kevin o’brien came into the crease and started to
explose he scored 50runs from just 25balls (8fours and 2sixes) and another
batsman Wilson contribute 80runs from69 balls (9fours) made to in Ireland in
this match.

Report:
UAE batting and bowling was very good but they can’t shine
in their fielding. So only they need to lose their match. Ireland’s fielding
also was not good so only they gave extra runs to UAE. So Ireland get struggle
to chase the target. But they won the match by 2wickets. Finally Ireland got
279-8 from 49.2 overs.
